Northern beats Southern

OAKLAND — Northern, led by Austin Doerr’s low medalist 40, defeated Southern for the Garrett County championship Tuesday.

Husky teammate Aaron Newman shot a 43 and Ed Herpel and Mike Rugula each finished with 45s.

Northern shot a 180 to Southern’s 206.

The Rams were led by Reese Duncan’s 48 and Brady Donaldson’s 51.

Northern finishes its season 31-16 and Southern 24-8.
