Northern JV takes two from Mtn. Ridge JV, 4-0 and 5-4

LONACONING - Northern doubled Mountain Ridge's loss total in one day as the Huskies swept the Miners Thursday afternoon 4-0 and 5-4.

Northern was led by Ted Linton's double and two singles, and Mike Rugula also doubled. Dylan Miller allowed no runs and four hits in a complete game effort to warn the win.

The Miners got two singls from Cody King. Garrett Dickel had seven strikeouts in the loss.

The second game saw Linton go 2-for-4 with a double and a single, and Andy Umbel tripled. Umbel had five strikeouts and four hits allowed to get the victory.

Adam Stowell had a double and two RBIs for Mtn. Ridge. Stowell also struck out 10 while taking the loss.

Mountain Ridge finishes the season with a 13-4 record.
