HYNDMAN, Pa. - Jeff Crosten celebrated senior night by hitting a two-run home-run in the first inning that sparked the Hornets offense in a 10-run win over Southern Fulton.
Crosten also had an RBI double an finished with three runs batted in. Kyle Bishop, also a senior, was perfect in four at-bats with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, and Caleb Stair had three singles. Jesse Minnick added a two-run single.
Shane Torbet earned the win with six strikeouts and two walks allowed over six innings.
"It was probably the best we've played all season, which means that we've been improving all along,'' said Hyndman coach Terry DeHaven. "Now we need to keep it going for the playoffs."
The Hornets (6-12) will host Berlin today at 2 p.m.
