Chessie overpowers Times-News, 12-2

CUMBERLAND - Cody Hovatter hammered a two-run home run and a run-scoring single, leading unbeaten Chessie Federal Credit Union over the Times-News on Wednesday at Donahue Field.

Blaine Leasure contributed a pair of doubles to Chessie's eight-hit attack and drove in four runs. Logan Harden hit two singles and scored three runs, while Corey Greig added an RBI double.

Forhest Crass cracked a double and a single and had one RBI for the Times-News. Jared Bittner had two base hits and Eddie Szymanski stroked an RBI single.

Chessie FCU (10-0-1) will play Sweitzer, Simson and Associates on Monday at Frostburg Armory.
