Outdoor Power ties Fort Ashby Lions 8-8

Cumberland Outdoor Power and the Fort Ashby Lions battled to a tie in a game halted by darkness on Thursday at Frankfort Field.

J.D. Hook, who pitched the first five innings for COP, hit a triple, while Drew O’Neal and Dave Rinehart had two singles each.

Dalton Brown, Zach Bradfield, Brian Logsdon and Josh McNeill had singles for the Lions’ only hits off Hook and O’Neal.

The Fort Ashby Lions beat host Grant County Mulch 7-2 on Tuesday. Jeff Conley pitched a four-hitter and drove in three runs with a home run and a single. Ryan Bobo added a double and a single.

Fort Ashby Lions (8 1/2-5) will play State Farm Insurance on Monday at Hamilton Field COP (7 1/2-4 1/2) will face Young’s/Optimists on Tuesday at Hamilton Field.
