Kimble helps Hartley’s beat KMK

— POTOMAC PARK — Brandon Kimble pitched a complete-game three-hitter, striking out five to lead Hartley’s Pizza to a 4-1 win over KMK Insurance in a game that featured just six singles — three by both teams — and no earned runs Thursday at Holler Field in the final regular-season game for both teams.
For KMK, Ryan Tipton, Austin Hensel and Brandon Kimble all singled, while Colton Mathews, Adam Brant and Nathan Steckman all singled for Hartley’s.
KMK concludes the regular season at 8-10.

Optimist/Young’s 1
BEL AIR — American Insurance took a 5-0 first-inning lead and never looked back on its way to a five-inning victory over Optimist/Young’s Thursday at Bel Air Field.
For American Insurance, Travis Miller had two singles, Madison Wolford had an RBI double, Mark Kelly tripled to knock in a run, and Carter Imes doubled home a run.
On Tuesday, Ryan Briner pitched an eight-inning three-hitter to lead American over KMK, 2-1, at LaVale Lions Field. Briner struck out 10 in gaining the win.
American won despite being held to one hit in the game by the KMK pitchers Bryan Kimmel, Brandon Kimble and Kendall Kennel, a Travis Miller single in the top of the eighth. The next batter was Madison Wolford, who reached on an error, which allowed Miller to score the game-winning run.
In the bottom of the eighth, Brandon Kimble hit a one-out triple, but was left at third as Briner struck out the final two batters to lock down the win.
American Insurance (9-6) plays Frostburg First United/7-11 Saturday at Hamilton.

Team One Auto 7
BARTON — D&D Homes scored in every at-bat on its way to a victory over Team One Auto Thursday at Barton in the regular-season finale for both teams.
For D&D Homes, Dylan Redinger had two doubles and a single, while Jared Wilson tripled and singled. Jay Wilson, Eric Banner and Trent Shrock all had two singles, and Dylan Burdock doubled.
Derek Noble hit a home run and a double for Team One Auto, Hunter Haskell doubled while Tyler Alt and Aaron Shotwell both singled twice.
Team One concludes the regular season at 7-9, while D&D is 12-6 and awaits next week’s playoffs.

Ridgeley VFW 4
POTOMAC PARK­ — Jacob Kyle and Devin Garlitz hit a double and single each as Moran’s Lawn Care defeated Ridgeley VFW on Thursday at Hamilton Field.
Garlitz drove in two runs and Kyle had one RBI. Josh Mills contributed two singles and an RBI, and winning-pitcher Josh Fitzgerald hit a run-scoring single.
Thane Cutter cracked two doubles and two singles and drove in one run for Ridgeley VFW. Brian Mackey had three singles and two RBIs, and Colton Dorsey singled twice
Moran’s (9-8) plays Keyser VFW on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Field.

Kiwanis 6
CUMBERLAND ­— Winning-pitcher Cody Malone hit a double and three singles and drove in two runs, leading G&S Coal/NewPage over Kiwanis on Thursday at Allegany College.
Malone allowed seven hits and had nine strikeouts in going the route for the win. Caleb Fazenbaker hit a run-scoring double and Jacob Miller singled twice for the winners.
Zach Steckman stroked a triple and double and drove in two singles for Kiwanis. Adam DuVall doubled and Adam Yost had two singles and an RBI
G&S/NewPage (11-4-1) will play East Hardy today at Westernport.

Cresaptown Eagles 10
Outdoor Power 8
POTOMAC PARK — The Cresaptown Eagles jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the first three innings and held on to beat Cumberland Outdoor Power on Wednesday at Hamilton Field.
Chris Fram led the Eagles’ 10-hit attack with a double and single, Seth Clark and Kyle Possonier had two singles each and James Mullenkamp doubles.
Starting pitcher Ryan Keifer had 12 strikeouts before giving way to Kevin Myers with one out in the seventh inning and got credit for the win.
Garrett Shively stroked a triple and single to lead Outdoor Power. Losing-pitcher Dave Rinehart added a double and single, Billy Kelly singled twice and DaQuan McGraw doubled..
Cresaptown Eagles (15-2) will play Rotary in their regular-season finale today at Holler Field. Outdoor Power finishes with a 1-16-1 record.
