D&D Homes closed out its opening round playoff series with Culver Design by winning the third game 6-2 behind a five-run fifth inning.
Now 15-4, D&D will play Stewart, Barr and Thorne on Monday in the first game of the second round. Stewart, Barr and Thorne earned a first-round bye.
D&D trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, but used six hits, five of them singles, to score five times.
Jamie Stowell led off with a single, and went to third on a Justin Shaw double. Ryan Reddinger, Jacob Kyle, Devin Garlitz and Jay Wilson all followed by hitting one-run singles.
Culver was led offensively by Isaiah Chaney’s three singles. Dylan Pepper drove in a run with a double, and Trevor Moore had two singles.
Adam Stowell had six strikeouts in a complete-game win.
Culver Design got the early lead in the series by taking game one 8-0. D&D won game two 10-4. Culver ends the season 13-7.
