APOLLO, Pa. — Brian Affleck fired a 1-over par 73 and the Potomac State College golf team enjoyed another round of balanced scoring in beating Penn State-New Kensington and Butler County Community College in the Bob Darby Invitational on Tuesday.
Following Affleck, who won individual medalist honors for the first time this year, were teammates Travis Kidwell with a 75, Mike Stenger with a 78, and Robbie Williams with an 80. They gave the Catamounts a sweep of the top four places and a team score of 306.
Penn State New Kensington was second with 336 and led by Buddy Brezican, who was fifth overall with an 81. Butler was third with a 339. Penn State Shenango also participated.
Potomac State is 7-0 in against junior college competition and 2-0 against four-year schools.
