Frankfort victorious over Hampshire 40-6

SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Justin Sachs ran for two touchdowns and Brian Bills ran for one and threw for another to power Frankfort to a season opening victory over visiting Hampshire.

Shawn Tallman got Frankfort on the board with a one-yard run in the first, Bills scored form a yard out on a quarterback sneak to make it 13-0.

Frankfort added two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 28-0 lead into halftime, the first a six-yard pass from Bills to Ryan Fowler, and the second a nine-yard run by Sachs.

Sachs had the only touchdown of the third quarter with a 40-yard sprint.

Matt Grogg scored the final touchdown, late in the fourth quarter, on a 73-yard run.

Hampshire’s only touchdown came on a one-yard dive in the fourth.

Cole Livingston, who blocked a punt, Brady Hite and Tyler Richards were cited for exceptional defense.

Frankfort will host Berkeley Springs on Monday.
