FROSTBURG — Christine Fitzgerald and Lauren Lentine scored goals and the Frostburg State women’s soccer team extended its conference winning streak to five with a 2-0 shutout of visiting Hilbert on Saturday.
The Bobcats have won four straight, are 10-1-2 overall and 5-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. FSU has outscored its five AMCC opponents by a combined 16-0.
Fitzgerald scored her third goal of the season just shy of midway through the first half to put Frostburg State on the board. Kierstin Stevenson hit a low pass from the left side of the 18-yard box that Fitzgerald one-timed into the back of the net.
Lentine scored her fourth goal of the season off a pass from Lauren Russell as FSU assumed a 2-0 lead in the second half.
Stephanie Gwinn played the first 80 minutes in net for FSU and made one save.
The Bobcats play at Penn State Altoona on Tuesday at o’clock. The Lions are also unbeaten in the conference at 3-0-1.
