HAMBURG, N.Y. — A second-half goal was all the offense the Frostburg State men’s soccer team needed as it held on for a 1-0 victory over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Hilbert Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats (10-3, 4-1) were silent until Sean Jones found the back of the net on a free kick at the 51:39 mark. The goal was his fifth of the season and first game-winner.
Hilbert (3-9, 1-4) managed just five shots and FSU goalkeeper Jay Herford stopped the only shot on goal. Frostburg State led in shots, 21-5.
Frostburg State plays at Penn State Altoona on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
