Little Homecoming halved

CUMBERLAND — Lance Fullwood and Jaron Watkins each scored three times, and Hunter Ware added two touchdown passes as Fort Hill led 63-0 over Allegany at halftime in a 70-0 win during the junior varsity Little Homecoming.

Fullwood struck first with a 60-yard punt return, and scored later in the first quarter on a 4-yard run to make it 14-0. Watkins finished out the quarter with two scores of his own. The first was one of Ware’s touchdown throws, and covered 58 yards. The second was a punt return of 70 yards.

Ahead 28-0 at the beginning of the second quarter, Watkins added a 9-yard run for his final touchdown to make it 35-0. Garrett Clay took one of his two carries 36 yards for the next Sentinels score, and Fullwood made his third trip to the end zone with a 59-yard run to put the score at 49-0.

Fullwood would rush for a total of 82 yards on just five carries, while Clay added 48 yards on two.

Ware collected his second TD toss when he found Garrett D’Atri for 14 yards, then scored the final touchdown of the half with a two-yard run. He finished the evening with 150 yards on 4-of-6 passing.

Zach Elliott provided the final points of the evening with a 33-yard run in the fourth quarter. Cullin Brown converted eight of his nine extra point tries.

Clay led the Fort Hill defense with an interception and a fumble recovery. Caleb Miller also recovered a fumble.

The Sentinels finish their season at 8-1.

Freshman

Allegany 39

Fort Hill 0

CUMBERLAND — Madison Wolford scored a pair of touchdowns and Terrell McGraw, Raheem Weedon and Hayden Bosley scored, too, as Allegany whipped Fort Hill 39-0 in their Little Homecoming freshman football game Monday evening at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

McGraw scored the first points on a 1-yard run in the first quarter. Wolford scored on a 6-yard run and Weedon returned a punt 52 yards for a touchdown as the Campers built a 23-0 halftime lead.

The Campers scored on a pair of long runs to complete the scoring in the third quarter. Wolford had 40-yard run for a touchdown while Bosley broke loose on a 50-yard scamper.

Allegany was 5-for-5 on conversions, with Wolford running for two, Weedon and Christian Thomas running for one and Chris Fram kicking for one.

Wolford led Allegany with 75 yards rushing. Wolford, with nine solo tackles, Fram and Hedrick led the defense. The Allegany offensive and defensive lines were cited for outstanding play.

Allegany finished the season with an 8-1 record.
