UPPER MARLBORO - Tauvon Tettiford and Kevin Baker scored 15 points apiece as Prince George's knocked off Garrett in a Maryland JUCO contest.
Deveres Colvin and Eric Vann added nine points and Greg Giddings had eight for the Owls (10-6 overall, 5-4 Maryland JUCO).
It was the fourth straight road game for Garrett (11-5, 4-3), which was unable to get much going offensively.
"It was a frustrating game to coach and was also a frustrating game for the players. They played hard ... certainly hard enough to win,'' said Garrett coach Dennis Gibson.
"We just didn't shoot the ball well and couldn't get into any kind of rhythm. It was one of those nights when everything snowballed. We weren't shooting well so they packed in their zone. We got 18 offensive rebounds, but we couldn't put it in the basket. And we couldn't get to the foul line."
Shawn Greenfield had 13 points, four assists and three steals for Garrett, which was 1-for-8 from the foul line. Reco Siler had a big game in helping keep the Lakers close with eight points, eight rebounds and four steals. Myron McGowan had seven points and eight rebounds.
Garrett hosts Catonsville Saturday evening.
