Potomac St. drops regular-season finale

MONACA, Pa. - P.J. McDurfee led four scorers in double figures with 23 points as Beaver County knocked off Potomac State, 89-76, in their Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference game Monday night.
While McDurfee led the outside attack with five of the Titans' nine three-point goals, Steven Ross, one of two 6-foot-7 players on the front line, had 22 points.
Hosea Berkley led Potomac State with 17 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists. Travis Wilson added 16 points, five rebounds and four assists, and Chad Wilson had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Potomac State (16-6, 9-1 WPCC) had already clinched the conference championship, has a first-round bye in the conference tournament and will host the Pitt-Titusville-CCAC Allegheny winner in the semifinals on Saturday at 2 p.m. With a win, the Catamounts would host the championship game on Monday night at 7 o'clock.
Beaver is 17-9, and 8-1.
