Taylor leads Garrett's rout

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - Dale Taylor scored 25 points, hit seven three-pointers, and the Garrett College Lakers used a fast start to cruise past the West Virginia Wesleyan junior varsity 94-66 Sunday afternoon.

Taylor had two two-point baskets to go with his seven threes. Shawn Greenfield, who had five three-pointers, and seven total baskets, finished with 19 points. Terrance Taylor had 13 points and Glen Izevbigie had 11.

Jordan Watson led the Wesleyan JVs with 13 points. Matt Metcalf scored 12 on four three-pointers and three players - Grant Burton, Joey Leech and Zack Boudek - each finished with 10.

Garrett improves to 17-9 overall. The Lakers, 10-7 in the Maryland JUCO, will host Rockville Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the first-round of the Maryland JUCO Tournament. The Lakers are the seventh-seed and Rockville is 10th.
