Shenandoah stops Frostburg State, 77-60

WINCHESTER, Va. - Jeremiah Lawrence scored 26 points as Shenandoah pulled away from Frostburg State University, 77-60, Monday night.

Frostburg (1-5) led by five points late in the first half, but Shenandoah charged back to tie the game at halftime and took the lead for good when Lawrence scored the first six points of the second half.

Lawrence's three-point play with just over 13 minutes to play stretched the Hornets' lead to 10, and the Bobcats would get no closer.

Kline added eight points and five rebounds for Shenandoah (8-1). Lawrence had seven rebounds and the team made 25 of 26 free throws.

Senior Jade Belt paced Frostburg with 13 points and four rebounds. Freshman Busha Koffa scored 10 ponts.

Frostburg hosts La Roche Wednesday at 8 p.m.
