La Roche wins over Frostburg State 77-63

FROSTBURG — Zack Kostorick poured in a season-high 28 points behind a 6-of-8 effort from the floor and an 11-of-12 performance at the free-throw line to guide La Roche to a 77-63 win over Frostburg State in an Allegheny Mountain Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Bobcat Arena.

FSU dropped its overall record to 1-6 and its AMCC slate to 0-3 after suffering its fourth straight loss.

Freshman Martin Fernandez led the Bobcats with 13 points, followed by Paul Shockley with 10.

The Redhawks (3-4, 2-1) jumped out to a 38-26 halftime lead after shooting 50 percent (13-of-26) from the floor.

Frostburg State hosts Medaille today at 3 o’clock.
