CUMBERLAND — Milburn Lee Ziler, 63, of Cumberland, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, May 1, 2009, at his home with his wife, Bonnie, at his side.

Born on May 22, 1945, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Peter L.J. Ziler and Priscilla E. (Wilson) Ziler. Mill was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Mill is survived by wife of 43 years, Bonnie J. (Glenn) Ziler; his son, Bryan L. Ziler; his daughter, Paula J. Green and husband John; his grandson and the light of his life, Jonah L. Green; his loving granddaughters, Miranda N. Green and Baylee J. Ziler; his special pup, Maggie; his sisters, Velma Bane and husband Richard, Betty Layton, and Patty Winters and husband Fred; his brothers, Howard Ziler, Peter Ziler, and Craig Ziler, and many special in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He retired as Maintenance Supervisor for Western Correctional Institute after 20 years service in Corrections. He previously worked at Celanse Fibers Co., for 19 years. Mill was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a member of LaVale Baptist Church.

Mill donated his body for scientific study to the State Anatomy Board.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at LaVale Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating.
