Raymond H. Moore [Lonaconing]

LONACONING - Raymond Harold Moore, 58, of Cemetery Road, Lonaconing, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at his residence.

Born Aug. 21, 1949, in Lonaconing, he is the son of Harold Don Moore and Simone Aline (Govaert) Moore, of Lonaconing.

He celebrated 37th wedding anniversary to his wife Cheryl Lynn Moore on May 2, 2008. He loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Navy veteran who served in Vietnam for the U.S. Navy. He worked 25 years for the Allegany County Board of Education as a custodian at Westernport Elementary School, Westernport.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lynn Moore, Lonaconing; two sons, Donald Moore and wife Julie, of Avilton, and Michael Moore, at home; one daughter, Amy Krumpach and husband Jim, of Lonaconing; three grandchildren, Bradie and Britni Moore, of Avilton, and Bryson Krum-pach, of Lonaconing; two sisters, Cecelia Leatherman and husband Harold, of Barton, and Vivian Moore, of Lonaconing; two sister-in-laws, Carol Goldsworthy and husband Richard, of Frostburg, and Diana Skorczewski and husband Jim, of Florida; and nieces and nephews, Connie Green and husband Marc, of Lonaconing, Brenda Reese and husband T.J., of Lonaconing, Sharon Merling, of Mount Savage, Kevin Leatherman and wife Susan, of Lonaconing, Jeff Deremer and wife Helen, of Florida, Gary Deremer and wife Patti, of Florida and Phillip Merling, of Cumberland.

Family and friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. (eichhorn-mckenziefh.com), Lonaconing on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home, Lonaconing, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Andrew Droll.

Interment will be held at Mount View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by Farrady Post 24, Frostburg.

Pallbearers will be Jim Krumpach, Donald Moore, Michael Moore, Kevin Leatherman, Fred Sloan and Brian Broadwater.
