Edith L. Binnix [Frostburg]

FROSTBURG — Edith Louise (Green) Binnix, 60, of Old Legislative Road, Frostburg, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at her residence.
Born May 31, 1949, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Lindley Ellsworth Green and Florence (Ternent) Green.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Wayne E. Binnix and James E. Binnix.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing. She had worked as a cook in the South Penn Elementary School cafeteria. She loved her flowers, her cat Soxey and her schnauzer Bengi. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James Edward Binnix Sr., of Frostburg; two daughters, Tina Davis and husband George, of Potomac Park and Mary Dawson and husband Steve, of Cumberland; six grandchildren, Lisa, Justin, Zak, Corey, Stephanie and Sam; and one great-grandchild, Madison; one sister, Viola “Sissy” Green, of Lonaconing; two brothers, James Charles Green and wife Linda, of Lonaconing and George Ternent Green and wife Edna, of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
All services are private and the Rev. Gregg Georg will be officiating.
Inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Arrangements were handled by the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. eichhorn-mckenziefh.com, Midland.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made out to the Shaft Volunteer Fire Company, 19303 Shaft Rd. SW, Frostburg, MD 21532.
