Geraldine Emma Folk [Zihlman]

ZIHLMAN — Geraldine Emma Folk, 76, of Zihlman, died on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at WMHS-Braddock Campus.
Born in Frostburg on July 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Helen (Winner) Crowe. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy and Jimmy.
Geraldine owned and operated a bar in Baltimore called The Place. She was an avid bingo player.
Surviving are sons, James Folk Jr., and wife Joann, of Baltimore, Stephen Folk and wife Karen, of Baltimore, Roger Folk, of Baltimore, Larry Folk, of Baltimore, and Michael Folk, of Zihlman; a daughter, Helen Lavata Phillips and husband Steve, of Baltimore; grandchildren, James III, Mary Ann, David, Michelle, Aubrey, Jennifer, Stephen, Heather, Amber, Jennifer, Jason, Larry Jr., Sarah, and Kristina; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert and Ronald; and sisters, Jean Digman, Jane McAfee, Patsy Miller, Mary Schiver, and Joyce Spataro.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A. on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
