Harold “Bud” Jewell [Inwood]

INWOOD, W.Va. — Harold “Bud” Jewell, 69, of Inwood, W.Va., passed from this life Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Jan. 15, 1940, in Romney, W.Va., he was the son of the late Max Jewell and Beatrice Likens Jewell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Louise Crabtree, also of Romney, W.Va.
Bud served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1966. He was retired from Virginia Concrete after 27 years of service, and was also employed by S.W. Rodgers, Gainesville, Va., Dan Lee Co., L. F. Franklin and Colonial Transport.
Bud was a wholehearted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by wife of 46 years, Suella Jewell; daughter Tonya Anderson and husband Junior, of Inwood, W.Va.; daughter Julie Hansrote and husband Travis, of Maysville, W.Va.; granddaughter Amanda Knight and husband Travis, of Clearbrook, Va., grandson Justin Jewell Anderson, and granddaughters Hayley An-derson, Olivia Hansrote, and Victoria Hansrote. He is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Haines and husband Larry, of Romney, W.Va.; brother Paul Jewell and wife Ann, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the South Berkeley Church of Christ. In addition to his immediate family, he is also survived by his dearly loved brothers and sisters in Christ.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in the Southside Church of Christ in Winchester, Va. at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Berkeley Church of Christ, 1144 Dominion Road, Gerrardstown, WV 25420.
