KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A Bruceton Mills man wanted in two states on attempted murder and kidnapping charges surrendered Monday to the Preston County Sheriff's Department.
Virgil Lee Hall, 44, was being sought by authorities in both Preston County and Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
Authorities said Hall and his attorney self-reported to the sheriff's office, where Hall was arrested on warrants charging him with attempted second-degree murder, malicious wounding, strangulation and kidnapping.
The warrants were obtained following a Nov. 18 incident in the Bruceton Mills area in which Hall allegedly abducted a Preston County woman.
He faces additional charges in Pennsylvania, the sheriff's office said.
Hall was jailed following arraignment by Preston County Magistrate Bo Ward. He was being held without bond Tuesday at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, police said.
