Legislative town halls to be held in Mineral County 

KEYSER, W.Va. — Two legislative town hall meetings will be held in Mineral County Dec. 28 

The first, hosted by state Sens. Dave Sypolt, Craig Blair, Charles Trump and Randy Smith and Del. Gary Howell, will be at the Mineral County Courthouse in Keyser from 5 to 6 p.m. 

The second will be held at the Carpendale Town Hall from 7 to 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Blair, Trump and Howell.

Foster care information forum to be held 

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — The Upper Potomac Children’s Collaborative will hold a discussion regarding foster care Dec. 14.

Mission West Virginia will provide foster care guidelines and information on how to become a provider. Guest speakers will address what individuals can do to positively impact a child’s life. 

The video "Removed" will also be shown.

The forum will be held at the Region 3 Children’s Summit on Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Eastern Regional Family Resource Network, 108 South Fork Road, Moorefield.

Carolers on horseback to spread cheer

CUMBERLAND — Carolers on horseback from Spring Gap Farms will make rounds through the city on Saturday.

The group will start at 1 p.m. near Footer's Dye Works, then take Harrison, Center, Bedford, Mechanic and Greene streets, making stops along the way to sing Christmas carols.

They'll then take Washington Street to Lee and back to Greene Street, where they'll make their way make to the downtown mall for a photo at the city Christmas tree.
