MOUNT SAVAGE — A Mount Savage woman was arrested early Saturday after allegedly causing serious injuries to a man during an altercation at a Lower Sunnyside Road residence.
Veronica Sue Lynn, 23, is accused of hitting the victim with a beer bottle, then stabbing and slashing his face with that broken bottle, the Allegany County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The incident happened about 1 a.m.
The victim was transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment by Mount Savage Volunteer Fire Department ambulance.
Lynn was charged with first- and second-degree assault, deputies said. She was being held on $7,500 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, as ordered by a district court commissioner.
