To the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office:

As things have changed, we no longer see road patrols in our area. With several break-ins at camps and residences, no action is being taken after reported.

Having been fortunate enough to reach 85 years, I would like to do something to help the community. I offered to pay 10 percent of the cost of replacing the bridge in our area, which flooded twice this month.

Instead of the $100,000 dollar bid, the county came up with a $7 million plan which is unnecessary, and I will not live long enough to see its completion.

The guys here at the bar gave a few dollars, and I wish to make up a donation check for $1,000 for your past service.

Thank you.
