BARTON — Norma Jean (Skidmore) Warnick, 72, of Barton, passed away on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, while surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law, and her precious grandchildren.

Born in Westernport on Nov. 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. Skidmore and the late Pauline (Skidmore) Beavers. Four brothers, Harry, John, Donald and William, as well as one sister, Margaret, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Warnick attended Bruce High School and received Certificate of High School Equivalence on March 31, 1971. She also received her Nursing Assistance Certification on Nov. 13, 1981, and worked for several years at Moran Manor Nursing Home.

Jean leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Jean, and husband Joe Langham; and the three most precious and treasured people in her life, her two grandchildren, Joey Langham and his fiancée Donna Skidmore, and Stacey Langham, of Frostburg. She also leaves behind a great-grandchild, Caleb Langham, who, over the course of the horrible disease that took her from us, became her best buddy and protector.

Also surviving her are brothers Ed Skidmore, Gilmore, Harold, Porter and Doug Beavers, of Westernport, and Rick Beavers, of Alaska; and three sisters, Mary Lou Metz, and Marlene Porter, of Barton and Carol Darling, of Westernport.

Never has a family been touched by the love of one single person more than ours. She spread her warmth and comfort among us and found great joy in sharing her love with her family. Momma, a true angel graced the gates of heaven when God called you home to finally grant you the peace you so richly deserve.

Friends will be received at Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Boal Memorial Chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dallas Bunch officiating.

Internment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Pallbearers will be brothers, Ed Skidmore, Harold Beavers, Porter Beavers, Doug Beavers, and Rick Beavers, and nephews Kevin Skidmore, Derrick Skidmore, and William Beechie.

Momma, Forever and always the love that we shared will be deep inside my being. I told you as you were leaving me that I would hold your hand and walk you as far as I could take you, but that you would take my heart forever with you. I love you and miss you so very, very much, my precious Angel Baby.
