CUMBERLAND — Kenneth Howard Robertson, 93, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Lions Center.

Born Nov. 24, 1918, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Howard Dallas and Vesta May (Nee) Robertson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, LaVerne Viola (Fletterman) Robertson, on Sept, 22, 2007; his son, Kenneth H. Robertson Jr. and a brother, William Robertson.

Mr. Robertson was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed at Cumberland Steel and retired in June 1982 after 46 years of service. He was a member of East Gate Lodge 216, Scottish Rite, the Ali Ghan Shrine Club, and Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Jean Burton and husband Robert, of Spotsylvania, Va.; three grandchildren, Lynne Hinnenkamp and husband Earl, Neil Burton and wife Mya and Nicole Logsdon and husband Sylbert and six great-grandchildren, Augie Hinnenkamp, Hannah Hinnenkamp, Kennedy Logsdon, Kamryn Logsdon, Eitan Burton and Avi Burton. He is also survived by his special friends, Bill and Shirley Logsdon.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. ( 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery with the Rev. Harold R. McClay officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Union Rescue Mission, 16 Queen City Pavement, Cumberland, MD 21502.
