FRIENDSVILLE — Margaret J. (Winters) Huntsman, 93, of Friendsville, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, where she had resided for the past seven years.

Born Sept. 30, 1919, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Lewis) Winters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Huntsman; three sisters, Clara Galaska, Anna Sponaugle and Freda Iden; and two brothers, Aaron and Howard Winters.

Margaret is survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She moved to her home in Friendsville after her retirement in 1975 from Western Union, Washington, D.C. She also worked at the New York Times as a proofreader and enjoyed traveling around the world.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident (McHenry), on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Gooding officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. At Margaret’s request cremation will follow the services.
