JOSEPH W. “JOE”  BURRELL [Keyser, W.Va.]

KEYSER, W.Va. — Joseph W. “Joe” Burrell, 66, of W. Piedmont Street, Keyser, died on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Potomac Valley Hospital.

Born on Aug. 9, 1946, in Piedmont, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Alma (Paugh) Burrell. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Arthur Burrell.

Joe was a 1964 graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a self-employed building contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine (Shillingburg) “Kack” Bennett Burrell; his children, Martin L. Burrell, Sandra Pattison and husband G. Andrew, Mark A. Burrell and wife Georgina, all of Keyser and William Corbin and wife Sharon, of Mogadore, Ohio; grandchildren, Brendan Pattison, Ayden Burrell, Jullian Pattison, Brittnie Corbin and Andrew Corbin and great-grandchildren, Amir Corbin and A.J. Corbin. He is also survived by the members of the Paul Shillingburg Family.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jody Bean officiating.  

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Pool Fund, C/O City of Piedmont, Piedmont, WV 26750, where Joe had many fond childhood memories.
