BUFORD, Ga. — Morris Goehringer, 92, of Buford, Ga., passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, in Buford, Ga.
Born April 2, 1921, in Accident, he was the son of the late Clemens C. and Nellie E. (Savage) Goehringer. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Beryl (Savage) Goehringer, on March 23, 2005 and a son, Ronald W. Goe-hringer.
Mr. Goehringer retired as a heavy equipment operator from Portage County, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, where he proudly served in the European and Pacific theaters and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Brent R. and Christy Goehringer, Dacula, Ga. and Todd and Kimberly Goe-hringer, Buford, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Catherine P. Goehringer, Richard and Carrie Fuller, Ryland and Grace Parris and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident (McHenry), on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Riebau officiating. Military graveside rites will be accorded by local area veteran’s organizations.
