ARTEMAS, Pa. — Karl Edward Goslin, 89, of Artemas, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.
Born March 6, 1924, in Media, Pa., he was the son of John T. and Ernestine (Schupp) Goslin. In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, John and Pepper Goslin.
Mr.Goslin is survived by three sons, Gary, David and Paul Goslin; as well as his former wife and good friend, Audrey Goslin.
A U.S. Naval Air Force veteran, Karl served in both World War II and the Korean War, attaining the rank of LCDR. A graduate of Temple University (Philadelphia) and Frostburg State University, he was retired from John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. In addition, he volunteered in the Hospice Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital and also tutored students at Allegany Community College.
An avid reader who loved both nature and people, Karl was never boring. His wit and insight imparted jewels of wisdom to friends and family (whether they wanted to hear it or not!) Those who knew Karl will forever miss his warmth, generosity, sense of humor, and, especially, his way with words.

At the request of Mr. Goslin, he will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at God’s Ark of Safety, Frostburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at 7 p.m.
