MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — John M. Clark Jr., 79, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Care Haven Center.
Born May 2, 1933 in Stickney, W.Va., the son of the late John M. Clark Sr. and Anna Viola (O’Conner) Clark.
Mr. Clark was employed as a candy maker for M&M Mars Company in Hackettstown, N.J.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Plainfield, N.J.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joeanna Harriet (Ellicks) Clark; three daughters, Saundra J. Clark, of Short Gap, W.Va., Mary Whitley and husband, Bill, of Rockport, W.Va. and Susan Clark, of Martinsburg; five grandchildren, Jennifer Grimes and husband, Sean and Daniel Pikora and wife, Lisa, all Short Gap, Christopher Jones and wife, Josie, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Jeffrey Jones, of Pen Argyl, Pa. and Lindsay Clark, of Martinsburg; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Clark, of Newton, N.J.; and sister, Ethel Elliott, of Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.
Private military graveside services will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.
