ROMNEY, W.Va. — Ronald Lee Huffman, 64, of Romney, W.Va., passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born March 20, 1948, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ray Samuel Huffman Sr. and Ilda Genevieve Sheppard (Peggy) Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joey Wyatt “Bubba” McCarary and Benjamin Matthew Frazier.
Mr. Huffman was a veteran serving with the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Martinsburg VFW and Moose Lodge.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (Rimmele) Huffman; four daughters, Tracy Carr, of Slanesville, Rhonda McCarary, of Romney, Misty Huffman, of Miami, Fla. and Amber Frazier, of Falling Waters; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Samuel Huffman Jr., of Inwood and two sisters, Sharon Youngblood, of Hedgesville and Ruth M. Huffman, of Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Dick officiating.
Interment will be held at Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery in Morgan County.
