CUMBERLAND — Carl Ernest Alessi, 68, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born on Jan. 29, 1945 in New Jersey, he was the son of Grace (Lauricella) Alessi and Ernest Alessi. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers Frederick Alessi and Robert Alessi.
Carl was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era. He was Catholic by faith. Mr. Alessi loved to make people laugh. He had a personality that he never met a stranger and was always able to make them smile. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Bonnie Alessi; three daughters, Lori Jazarevic and husband Danny, Grace Ann Alessi, Tasha Nave and husband Danny; six grandchildren, Conner Doherty, Gabriella Jazarevic, Liam Doherty, Tyler Cole Nave, Parker Daniel Nave, Carter Jett Nave; one brother, Ernest Alessi.
As per Carl’s request he will be cremated.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Deacon Dave Conley officiating.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
