WINCHESTER, Va. — Chimera Hohing, 80, of Butterscotch Court, Winchester, Va., died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.
Born on Dec. 10, 1932, in Tuskeegee, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Algie Smith and Jessie Ola (Guthrie) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister, Lane Bufford and Barbara Maher.
Chimera retired from the United States Federal Government.
She is survived by her husband, William Hohing II; a daughter, Valerie Linn, of Gainesville, Fla.; a son, William Hohing III, of Virginia; two grandchildren, Alana Linn, of Charlotte, N.C. and Gabriel Linn, of Gainesville, Fla.; one brother, Bowling Bufford, of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
Interment will be held at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
