HAGERSTOWN — Darla Mae Hartley went to be with her Lord on June 26, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 8, 1937, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Stanley William and Cornelia Pearl (Mellott) Golden. Darla was the wife of the late Clinton Albert Hartley, who died in 2010.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie H. Faust and husband Frederick, of Mount Holly, N.C. and Douglas C. Hartley and wife Laura, of Union Bridge. She is the grandmother of Sunny Grimes and Annie Grimes, of Union Bridge. Darla is the sister of Norma Jean Keefer of Hancock, Lora Ann Myers, of Needmore, Pa., Margo Mann, of Little Orleans, Herbert Golden, of Hancock and David Golden, of Hagerstown.
Darla worked and retired from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute at the National Institute of Health as an Executive Assistant.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Harman, Kenworthy & Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
The funeral service will be at conducted Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Piney Plains United Methodist Church, Little Orleans with the Rev. Reuben Rinker officiating.
Burial will be in Piney Plains Cemetery, Little Orleans.
