KEYSER, W.Va. — Debora Kay “Deb” Swann, 56, of N. Church Street, Keyser, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at her residence.
Born on Dec. 10, 1956 at Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Charles David and Anna Marie (Smith) Hardy. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Wayne Swann in 2002; and by an infant son, James W. “JR” Swann.
Mrs. Swann was a 1975 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was employed for 13 years at the Keyser Walmart Supercenter, where she made many good friends, several of whom she adopted as part of her own family. Deb enjoyed crafting, reading and antiquing and was an avid movie buff. She was an amazing and loving Mom and was truly a “people person” in every sense of the word. She had a strong will and the determination to match and would always make sure her family was taken care of, whatever the need.
Surviving are her children, Thomas Charles “T.C.” Swann and wife Elizabeth of Terra Alta, W.Va. and Brandy Nicole VanMeter and husband Greg of Cumberland; two brothers, David Lee Hardy and wife Jamie of Wiley Ford, W.Va. and Ralph Eugene “Gene” Hardy of Short Gap, W.Va.; and five grandchildren, Kadie Elizabeth Swann, Christopher Haines, Josh Ferrell, Jasmine Gray and Skylar VanMeter.
At Mrs. Swann’s request there will be no visitation or services.
The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
Condolences and personal reflections to the family may be left after Mrs. Swann’s obituary at smithfuneralhomes.net.
