WILEY FORD, W.Va. — Dorothy Lee (Bennett) Bean, 86, formerly of Wiley Ford, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at Frostburg Village.

Born Sept. 22, 1926 in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ora Bruce Bennett and Lillian Gertrude (Heffer) Bennett.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Edward Bean, and three siblings.

She attended Ridgeley High School and graduate Summa Cum Laude from Frostburg State College.

Mrs. Bean was retired with over 20 years of service from the Allegany County Board of Education. She had been an English teacher at Flintstone School.

Survivors include her four children, Michael Bean, Jo Ellen Nestor and husband Bill, Henry Bean and wife Cheryle, and Maggie Smith; seven grandchildren, Karen, Kristin, Aaron, Adam, Laura, Morgan, and Meredith; three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Ilan, and Ella; one brother, Bill Bennett; and, a sister-in-law, Margie Bolyard.

As per her request, funeral arrangements are private.
