PEARL L. BIGGS [La Vale]

LAVALE — Pearl L. Biggs, 90, of LaVale, formerly of Mount Savage, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 5, 1922 in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Laura Bell (Fletcher) Smith.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eldred L. Biggs; her son, Robert D. Walsh; her sister, Helen Preston; and one brother, Russell Smith.

Mrs. Biggs had been a homemaker and belonged to Mount Savage United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Lashley and husband Robert D. Lashley, LaVale; one brother, Walter S. Smith and wife Betty, Elizabethton, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Boston and husband Bryan, Cumberland, Amanda Brust and husband Christopher, Cresaptown, and Kathryn Nicol and husband Adam, Cresaptown; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Boston, Misty Boston, Codi Nicol, Atticus Nicol, Andrew Brust, and Alex Brust; and one great-great-grandson, Mason Hott.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Funeral Service, P.A.—Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Stevens officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Savage United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Boston, Bryan Boston, Codi Nicol, Atticus Nicol, Adam Nicol, Andrew Brust, and Chris Brust.
