FROSTBURG — Harold L. Myers, 73, of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born March 3, 1939 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Cunrad) Myers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erin Myers; one son, Thomas Myers; and one sister, Shirley Ridgeley.
Mr. Myers was a United States Army veteran during the Korean War Era. He was a member of the Frostburg Senior Center. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting and being in the outdoors. Harold was an avid NASCAR fan rooting for Dale Earnhardt Sr., and also was an avid Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving are his two sons, Terry Myers and wife Rita of Ft. Ashby, W.Va., Kenny Myers and special friend Virginia Phares of Piedmont, W.Va.; one daughter, Elaine Nohrwald of Sarasota, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Britney, Katie, Adam, Dalton, Emily, Kathryn, Johnmark, Craig, Amber and William; nieces and nephews, Vicki Ridgley, Lisa Ridgley, Pat Ridgley, and Merrit Ridgeley; sister-in-law, Teri Ann Smith; and special cat companions, Max and Mickey.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with Deacon David Conley officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
