CUMBERLAND — Jerry P. Sears, 73, of Patterson Creek, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Homer E. and Beulah A. (Carlile) Sears.
He was retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company. He was a farmer and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Wolfe) Sears; two sons, Michael and wife Nona and Daniel, all of Patterson Creek and two daughters, Lorraine Logsdon and husband Rob, of Cumberland and Louise Fridley and husband David, of Patterson Creek. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Monica, Steven, Michael, Nicole, Lindsey, Dana and John and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., (www.scarpellifh.com) on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Gulbronson officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
