— RAWLINGS — Samuel George, 53, of Rawlings, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, after a long battle against physical and psychological issues.

Samuel is preceded in death by one brother, Peter George; and a grandmother, Bertha Cash.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda George; his mother, Helen Curran and husband Matthew Curran; his father, Bud George and wife Suzy George.

Samuel left behind three daughters, Melonnie Black, Karina Black and boyfriend Tim McLarney, Richelle Beard and husband David; one son, Ted Black; five granddaughters, Angel White, Jessica Iliff, Jackelyn Terrill, Vianca Black and Alley Black; four grandsons, James Growden, Billy Bittner, Tharon Black and Joshua Beard; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Anyha and Aria Jade. He is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Samuel was a good hard working man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed and remembered for the lasting memories he made and shared with us while we had him on this earth.

A rememberance will be held at The Church Triumphant, Rt. 2 Ridgeley, W.Va., on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m.
