CARRIE A. DURST [Grantsville]

GRANTSVILLE — Carrie Alice Durst, 88, of Grantsville, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.

Born March 10, 1925, in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida Mae (Durst) Hutzel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Durst, Aug. 21, 1980; five brothers, Elmer, Mahlon, Tom, Clark and Havard Hutzel; five sisters, Freda Lindeman, Verna Hutzel and three infants, Darlene, Rosella, Lena; and a granddaughter-in-law, Megan Durst.

Mrs. Durst was a member of Laughlin Church of the Brethren and was a retired cook for the former Holiday Inn.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald R. Durst and wife, Nancy, Harmony, Pa., Paul D. Durst and wife, Maryanna, Accident, Gregory D. Durst and companion, Linda Wen-gerd, Grantsville; one daughter, Rhea Broadwater, Grantsville; one brother, Frank Hutzel, Grantsville; seven grandchildren, Bryce and wife, Lisa, Richard, Daniel, Gina and husband, Jamie, Matthew, Andrew and Melinda; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grants-ville, on Sunday 3 to 8 p.m.  

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Harry Paterson officiating.  

Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
