SANDRA “SANDY” J. LEWIS [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Sandra “Sandy” Jean Lewis, 68, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 13, 1944, in Davis, W.Va., Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Jean Sayger. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Keener.

A homemaker, Sandy was a member of the Cumberland Grace Brethren Church.  

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Edwin Dewey Lewis Jr.; her son, Kevin Keener and friend Kim Phillips, of  Potomac Park; her daughter, Belinda Jean Mooney and husband Dale, of Tuttle, Okla. and her stepchildren, Brenda Cook-Miller, Bonnie O’Baker, Eddie Lewis and Keith Lewis. She also leaves behind her brother, William Sayger, of West Virginia; her grandchildren, Shaundra Allen, Derek Moon-ey, Michael Mooney, Austin Keener, Caitlin Ofsa, Shasta Keener, Patrick Mooney, Margaret Mooney and Erin Mooney and her great-grandchildren who she helped raise, Meghan Allen, Chad Mooney, Adaya Keener, Ava Keener, Mikey Mooney and Lena Mooney.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ray McCoy officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cumberland Grace Brethren Church, 12004 Williams Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.
