THEODORE “TODD” O. ABE JR. [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND  — Theo-dore “Todd” Odell Abe Jr., 47, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at his home.

Born Nov. 1, 1965, in Cumberland, Todd was the son of Theodore “Ted” O. Abe Sr. and Anna Jean (Kennell) “AJ” Abe, both of Cumberland.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Sue Abe; his paternal grandparents, Hubert and Evelyn Abe and his maternal grandparents, Thelma and Clinton Kennell.

Todd was previously em-ployed at Gee Bees, Schwab’s, the Cumberland Post Office where he received an award for being an outstanding employee, Park View Liquors and Ridgeley Distributors. Todd took great pride in helping with the back deck at Uncle Jack’s. He was a lifetime member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 271 and for three years was a member of the Rocky Gap Golf Foundation. Todd was a lifelong fan of the Redskins, the Washington Nationals Baseball Team and the Maryland football and basketball teams. He would meet at Uncle Jack’s every week to watch the games with his club friends.

Beside his parents, Todd is survived by his stepmother, Kim Abe, of Cumberland; his best friend, Luann Abe and his children who he had great pride and love for, T.J. Abe and Hannah Abe, all of Cumberland. He also leaves behind his sister, Teresa Oates and husband Mike, of Cresaptown; his brother, Scott Abe, of Falls Church, Va.; his mother-in-law, Mary Markwood; his brothers-in-law, Mike, Virgil and Dave Markwood and his sister-in-law, Patty Markwood.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sandy Cowan officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
