— MOUNT SAVAGE — Wanda “Firecracker” Lee Thomas, 80, of Mount Savage, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born July 29, 1933, in Cabins, W.Va., Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late James Ours and Imogene (Mongold) Buckley. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, William Ours, Keith Ours, Craig Buckley and baby brother Jimmy Ours and a great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Marie Carter.

A graduate of Petersburg High School, Wanda was a home health care provider.  

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David J. Thomas and her daughters, Renee Wolfe and husband Richard, of Oldtown, Michelle Printy and husband Richard, of Ellerslie and Stacey Thomas, of Mount Savage. Wanda also leaves behind her brothers, John Ours and wife Charlotte and Jack Ours, all of Corriganville; her sisters, Judy Ours, of Chula Vista, Calif. and Deanna Ours, of West Virginia; her grandchildren, Daniel “Goober” Fisher, James “Tater” Kimmell, Nicole “Pickle” Thomas, Jenna “Gingeebread” Wolfe and Sara “Bean” Wolfe as well as six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, ( on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m.
