— HYNDMAN, Pa. — Stanley Albert Lehr, 85, of Hyndman, Pa., passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Penn Knoll Village Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 23, 1928, in Frostburg, Mr. Lehr was the son of the late Christian Albert Lehr and Dorothy M. (Everline) Lehr. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte F. (Shaffer) Lehr, 2000; his second wife, Alta Jan (Buskirk) Matheny-Lehr, 2008; his great-grandson, Tyler Leister, 1994; his son-in-law, Robert Smith, 2012; his sister, Helen G. (Lehr) Klink, 1995; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

A United States Naval Veteran for seven years, Stan worked with CSX railroad with 36 years of service. He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Lorraine Smith, Hyndman, Pa., and Cathy Elaine Richardson and husband, Mark, York, Pa.; his son, Richard Albert Lehr and wife, Nancy, Norfolk, Va.; his stepson, Mark Buskirk and wife, Joyce, Frostburg; as well as six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
