— FROSTBURG — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margie Ellen Murphy, 90, on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Frostburg Village Nursing and Rehab Center. Margie was a long time resident of Corriganville.

She was born on October 28, 1923, in Cumberland. Margie was a long time active member of Trinity Assembly of God Church and was active in the Corriganville community.

Margie is survived by William D. Murphy (Ginny) of Blacksburg, Va., Patricia E. Harding (Mel) of Canton, Ohio, Doretha L. Murphy (Jean-Pierre) of Canada, Jimmie R. Murphy (Betsy) of LaVale, Roger A. Murphy (Michelle) of Hyndman, Pa., and Marsha L. Stine (Leonard) of Waynesboro, Pa.

She is also leaving behind 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wolverton DeLoss Murphy; brothers, John Clinedinst, Kenneth Clinedinst, Dorsey Clinedinst; sisters, Jenny Dascenzo, Madeline Scarlett and Mae Helmstetter.

Family and friends will be received at Hafer Funeral Service, P.A. Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, MD, on Monday, Nov. 11, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Leonard Stine officiating.

Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial.
