RAWLINGS — Wilbur Lamp Collins, 95, of Rawlings, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1918 in Cumberland, Mr. Collins was the son of the late William C. Collins and Ada B. (Lamp) Collins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae (Bruner) Collins; three brothers, Lee, William V., and Chester Collins; two sisters, Winona Hill and Cornelia Stump; and a son-in-law, Gene Robinette.
Wilbur was a farmer and owned Maple Lawn Dairy.
He is survived by his son, William “Bill” Collins, Cumberland; and his daughters, Barbara Robinette, Jeanette, Pa., Sharon Alt and husband, Wayne, Etters, Pa., Joyce Shipley and husband, Ron, Highland, and Patty Flanagan and husband, Tony, Grants-ville. Wilbur also leaves behind his sister, Marguerite Willison, Cumberland; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nep-hews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Morris officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Stoney Run Baptist Church, 105 Potomac St., Westernport, MD 21562.
